In addition, a large portion of Platte County land remains under control of the County government. Kansas City:
Population : (43,676 of Kansas City’s population of 2,393,623 resides in Platte County)
Twenty percent of Platte County’s square miles falls within the city limits of Kansas City and 46% of Platte County’s population resides in Kansas City. Platte County is home to the Kansas City International Airport. KCI and the area surrounding (commonly called the KCI corridor) is considered a major employment hub not only for Platte County but the entire metro area as well.

Parkville
Population: 6,772
Parkville is located in the southern area of Platte County, overlooking the Missouri River. It is well known for its historic shops and restaurants that people come from miles around to visit. Parkville is home to the beautiful Park University, a four-year liberal arts institution, founded in 1875 as well as the The National Golf Club, a private golf course designed by the legendary Tom Watson.

Platte City

Platte City is the county seat for Platte County. Platte City is located in the northern area of Platte County, approximately 5 miles north of the Kansas City International Airport. Riverside
