2020 Q3 Luncheon: COIVD-19 Discussion
The Platte County Economic Development Council (PCEDC) hosted its third Quarterly Member Luncheon on Friday, September 25th, at E H Young Park in Riverside. Sponsored by McClure Engineering, the event featured a panel of local Platte County and Northland business leaders to discuss how COVID-19 has impacted their day-to-day operations.
PCEDC Chairman Mike Duffy, with the City of Riverside, opened the luncheon by acknowledging elected officials, high-level PCEDC investors, board members, new members, and partners in attendance. He also thanked McClure for their support of this event.
After lunch, PCEDC Executive Director Matt Tapp invited the guest panelists to the stage, featuring:
- Carlose Estes - Associate Director, Johnson Controls
- Grant Harrison - Director of Development, VanTrust Real Estate
- Aaron Mesmer - Senior Vice President, Block Real Estate Services
- Michael McKeen - President, EPC Real Estate
- Scott Zigler - General Manager, Trademark Properties (Zona Rosa)
Panelists gave updates on how COVID-19 has affected their respective businesses and the creative ways in which they have navigated day-to-day operations to keep moving forward. While there have been many challenges, the common theme was that each panelist was pushing through to be innovative and successful during an uncertain time.
Thank you, Carlose, Grant, Aaron, Michael, and Scott, for taking the time out of their busy schedules to participate in this conversation. We sincerely appreciate you and your support of Platte County EDC!
