2020 Q1 Luncheon: Town/Village Centers
The Platte County Economic Development Council (PCEDC) hosted its first Quarterly Member Luncheon on Friday, March 6, at KCI Expo Center. Sponsored by Superior Bowen, the event highlighted two retail areas within Platte County working to deliver shining examples of Town/Village Centers.
PCEDC Chairman Mike Duffy, with the City of Riverside, opened the luncheon by acknowledging elected officials, high-level PCEDC investors, board members, new members, and partners in attendance. He also thanked Superior Bowen for their support of this event.
After lunch, PCEDC Executive Director Matt Tapp invited the guest speakers to the stage, featuring:
- Scott Zigler - General Manager, Trademark Properties (Zona Rosa)
- Garry Hyes - Director of Leasing, MD Management
Scott and Garry began the discussion by giving an update on their respective properties, Zona Rosa and Twin Creeks, offering insight into some of the important efforts to help transform both areas into retail destinations. Scott discussed a few of the new businesses and recently remodeled areas within Zona Rosa. Garry talked about the development of the Twin Creeks area and what residents can expect once construction is completed. The audience then had an opportunity to ask questions to round out the conversation
Thank you, Scott and Garry, for taking the time out of their busy schedules to participate in our luncheon. We sincerely appreciate you and your support of Platte County EDC!
