COMPANY BACKGROUND

The Platte County Economic Development Council (PCEDC) is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting, enhancing, and growing economic development within Platte County, Missouri. For over 35 years, PCEDC has thrived as a collaborative partnership, bringing together the public and private sectors. With over 145 members, PCEDC has played an instrumental role in building strong, viable companies, creating a secure and comfortable quality of life for the community.

PROJECT BRIEF

PCEDC is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the redesign and development of our website. The current website has served our organization well, but we recognize the need for a modern, user-friendly, and technically robust platform to better meet the needs of our audience. This includes information regarding hosting services. Additionally, we are looking for assistance in rebranding efforts to help define organizational identity and enhance our visual presence. While not a requirement, if branding services is something your company provides, please be sure to include that cost in the submission.

PROJECT GOALS

The primary goals of this project are as follows:

  • Modernization: Upgrade the visual design and overall aesthetic of the website to align with contemporary design standards and reflect who we are as a brand.
  • User Experience Enhancement: Improve user experience by implementing intuitive navigation, responsive design, and optimizing page load times which can be measured by time on site and low bounce rates.
  • Content Management: Implement a user-friendly content management system that allows our team to easily update and manage website content.
  • Functionality Expansion: Integrate new features and functionalities, like a robust jobs page and plug-ins for real time data updates, to be highlighted on our website.
  • Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure the website is fully responsive and functions seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes.

PROJECT SCOPE

The website vendor will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Developing a comprehensive website redesign strategy that aligns with our brand identity and business objectives, including front and backend development.
  • Designing and developing a responsive website with a clean and intuitive user interface.
  • Implementing necessary features and functionalities to support our business goals, including but not limited to: contact forms, blog/news section, social media integration, etc.
  • Ensuring seamless integration with third-party tools and platforms.
  • Implementing robust security measures to safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Conducting thorough testing to ensure compatibility across various devices, browsers, and screens.
  • Providing training to the PCEDC team on how to manage and update the website.

BUDGET DETAILS

Proposals featuring all budget types will be accepted for this project. Please be sure to include an hourly rate structure as well as the all-in budget for redesign.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Interested vendors must submit their proposals in PDF format by COB on Friday, September 27th, 2024 via email to Allison Schultz (aschultz@plattecountyedc.com). Proposals should include a detailed project plan, timeline, budget estimate, and relevant portfolio/examples of past work.
