The Platte County EDC held its second quarterly member luncheon of the year at the KCI Expo Center on Friday, June 2nd.
Platte County EDC Chair Aaron Schmidt of Hunt Midwest started the luncheon by recognizing elected officials, board members and new members who werew present. Top-level investors were also given a gift in recognition of their support of the EDC.
An economic development panel was focus on the lunch program, and the panel was comprised of:
- Mike Duffy – Director of Community Development, City of Riverside
- Mike Kellam – Director of Economic Development, Parkville EDC
- Bob Langenkamp – President & CEO, EDC of Kansas City
- Alicia Stephens – Executive Director, Platte County EDC
The Platte County EDC would like to thank the panelists for sharing some great insights for the luncheon attendees on issues such as workforce, historic tax credits and the KCI Airport.
The next quarterly member luncheon will be a joint luncheon with the Northland Regional Chamber and Clay County EDC in September.
