2017 Community Development Day
Thanks to our great partners and communities who helped make the 2017 Community Development Day a success!
The Platte County EDC hosted 70 commercial brokers, real estate developers, community representatives, and sponsors at its third annual Community Development Day on Monday, May 15th.
The event provided a full day of networking at The National Golf Club in Parkville and featured a Community and Sponsor Expo, lunch, golf scramble, and 19th hole.
The day kicked off with a Community and Sponsor Expo as Platte County communities, Kansas City, Parkville, Platte City, Riverside, and Weston got the opportunity to showcase what is happening in their communities.
During lunch, the communities shared updates with the attending brokers, developers, and economic development partners before the golfers took to the course. Ed Bradley, BankLiberty and Platte County EDC Vice-Chair, served as our emcee for the program.
The winning team was Frank Sciara, Chris Williams, Darrel Holden and Keith Baker, pictured with Alicia Stephens, Platte County EDC Executive Director, and Ed Bradley, Platte County EDC Vice-Chair.
Second place was John Hoefer, Chris Robertson, Allan Kaufman, and Nick Pickard. And Sam Stahnke, Jeff Sharp, Mike Kellam, and Brian Johanning grabbed third place.
Contest winners were:
Closest to the Pin: Greg Foss
Longest Putt: Taylor Foster
Longest Drive (women’s): Janet Wilkerson
Longest Drive (men’s): Alex Block
Again, thank you to our main event sponsors, Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa and the Kansas City Aviation Department, the City of Parkville, the City of Riverside, the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, and BankLiberty for their sponsorship support.
