Platte County abounds with good news about development. Over 2.5 million square
feet of construction is underway, translating to $571 million in investment.
The square footage is mostly commercial projects yet the public sector accounts
for almost half of the investment. Over 684,000 square feet has recently been
completed in 2007 totaling $170 million of investment. Developments in the planning
stage add over 1.6 million square feet with an approximate $1.6 billion to be
invested.
