Platte County is located on the western border of Missouri and
is one of fourteen counties in the Kansas City, MO-KS metropolitan
statistical area (MSA). Approximately 20% of Platte County’s
421 square miles fall within the Kansas City MSA. The Missouri River
is on the County's western and southern borders. Platte County offers
many features attractive to business with regards to affordability,
accessibility, quality of life and many other factors.
Platte County is home to the Kansas City International Airport
which was voted "most user-friendly airport and the best friend
of the environment" by the World Travel Award Committee, and
is located 20 miles from downtown Kansas City.
