The strength of any community is measured in the energy, enthusiasm and interest that residents and business owners take in helping it grow. The Platte County Economic Development Council (PCEDC) is a testament to the depth of this community support.
Platte County is
rich with people who love where they live and work—people who are willing to
invest both time and money to see their county thrive.
In return, they’ve been able to write own success stories, by building strong, viable companies and a secure, comfortable way of life in the county they call home.
The mission of the
PCEDC is to promote and enhance economic development in Platte County,
MO. In doing so, we strive to improve
the business sector, the environment and the quality of life in our community. The PCEDC has received over 40 awards from state, regional, national and
international organizations for its marketing materials and initiatives
promoting Platte County.
The mission of our
organization is represented in our plan of work. The strategies of the Platte
County Economic Development Council are:
* Expand new business locations in Platte County
* Expand and retain business opportunities in Platte County
* Expand community outreach opportunities to Platte County cities and towns
* Increase perceived value of PCEDC by its member/investor constituents
* Enhance the infrastructure of the PCEDC
These strategies are
mapped out in detail in our strategic plan.
