Burdette
(Pete) Fullerton has been the Executive Director of the Platte
County Economic Development Council since 1990. During Petes
tenure with the Platte County EDC, the organization has won over
40 awards for economic development services from local, regional,
national and international organizations. Since 1991, the Platte
County EDC has been involved in the successful completion of over
127 projects that have created 11,374 jobs in Platte County. The
Platte County EDC, in 1999, was awarded the first ever Missouri
Governors Achievement Award.
Pete attended Texas A&M University and received his Bachelor
of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration
from the University of Missouri. Pete is a graduate of the Economic
Development Institute and holds certification as an Economic Development
Finance Professional (EDFP) & Certified Economic Developer (CEcD).
Petes professional endeavors currently include: Past President/Chairman
of the Missouri Economic Development Council and the Southern Economic
Development Council. Pete serves on the Kansas City Area Workforce
Investment Board & Youth Council and the Park University Graduate
School of Public Affairs Board of Visitors. In addition, Pete also
serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Public
Affairs at Park University.
Jesse Shroyer
joined the Platte County Economic Development Council in July 2007,
as the Marketing Assistant. Previously, Jesse held an internship
with the Liberty, MO area Partnership for Community Growth and Development
where her interest in economic development began. She graduated
from William Jewell College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both
Political Science and Organizational Communications. Jesse coordinates
marketing tours, maintains good communication with local real estate
brokers, and updates PCEDC's website as well as the LocationOne
real estate database.
Shani
Porter joined the Platte County
Economic Development Council in July 2007, as the Business Outreach
Coordinator. In March of 2008 Shani also began work as the Community
Outreach Coordinator. Shani has over 12 years experience in local
and county government, most recently with Castle Rock, CO as the
Development Manager. She received her Bachelor of Science degree
in Geography and holds her Masters degree in Urban and Regional
Planning from the University of Colorado. Shani works for the PCEDC
managing all business outreach efforts, organization activities
associated with business development and workforce development services
for Platte County residents and employers. Additionally, Shani will
be working with all the communities in Platte County to identify
economic development needs and opportunities. Shani belongs to both
the Missouri and Natinoal American Planning Association.
Diane Jones has been with the Platte
County Economic Development Council since May 2005, as the Administrative
Assistant. A 20 year resident of Platte County, Diane has experience
in insurance, medical and church offices. She has earned and maintains
her Life Insurance, Variable Annuity and Limited Securities licenses.
Diane's duties include coordinating luncheons, taking meeting minutes,
updating our ever growing database, maintaining correspondence to
our PCEDC members, and coordinating payroll and employee insurance
benefits.
