For over a decade the Platte County Economic Development Council
has been working to attract and retain businesses for Platte County.
The mission of the Council is to "Promote and enhance economic development
in Platte County". It does this through four basic strategies:
- Expand business activity in Platte County.
- Increase perceived values of the Platte County EDC by its constituents.
- Integrate efforts of other organizations.
- Enhance/revise the Platte County EDC’s infrastructure.
The Platte County EDC is a public/private partnership, receiving
funding from both factions. The Platte County EDC is a 501c3 not-for-profit
organization.
